Coming on your own?
You can also take the prompt engineering course on your own: it is for anyone who uses ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Gemini and wants results they can use without redoing them.
- What you learn
- How to write clear briefs (role, context, task and format), give examples, split a long piece of work into steps and check what the AI returns before using it. You leave with your own templates.
- What it is like
- In an open group with other people who come on their own, or in private lessons; live online or in person in Catalonia.
- Certificate
- At the end you receive an IAescola certificate of participation.
- Price
- Open group course: €160 per person. Private lessons: €80 per hour or 5-hour pack: €350. VAT included.
- Payment
- Direct payment by bank transfer. FUNDAE funding only applies to companies in Spain.
It is a waiting list: joining commits you to nothing.
From trying AI out to using it with a method
Almost everyone has typed something into an AI assistant. What separates a team that makes the most of it from one that gets frustrated is explaining clearly what is needed, giving just enough context and checking the output before accepting it.
The course works with your team's real tasks: a difficult email, a report to summarise, a spreadsheet to analyse, a proposal to draft. You learn to structure the brief, iterate with judgement and keep what works so the rest of the team can use it. We teach it live, in your language, and it may qualify for FUNDAE rebates, subject to available credit and applicable requirements.
What you will learn
The syllabus is tailored to each team; these are the techniques and habits we work on.
Role, context, task and format
The structure of a good brief: who the AI is in this task, what it needs to know, exactly what you ask and how you want the answer (table, list, email, length, tone). With before-and-after examples on your own texts.
Examples that set the style
Giving the AI one or two examples of what you consider a good result (few-shot) usually brings the tone and structure closer than adding more explanation. We practise when to use them, how to choose them and how to stop the AI copying them word for word.
Splitting a job into steps
A large, vague request gives a weak result. You learn to break it into steps (understand, plan, draft, review), to ask for an outline first, to chain answers, and to fix one step without redoing everything.
Checking for errors and invented facts
AI can state with confidence figures, quotes or rules that do not exist. We work on a review method: what to always check, how to ask it to flag what it does not know, how to compare against the source and when a person must look before anything leaves the company.
Templates and a team prompt library
A good prompt that lives only in one person's head does not scale. We build templates with blanks to fill in, organise them by task and keep them in a shared place (a document or, if your tool allows it, custom GPTs or Projects) with someone responsible for maintaining them.
What data not to paste
Personal data, contracts, client information or internal figures do not go into just any tool. Together we define a simple rule, how to anonymise a text before using it, and which plans of each tool give more control over data.
With the tools your team already uses
The techniques in the course work in ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini, and the course builds on whichever you already have. Each tool has its own features and limits, so the hands-on part is done on yours and we point out where results differ from one to another.
If you need to go deep on one specific tool, we have dedicated courses. Here the focus is what you learn once and apply everywhere: asking well, iterating and checking.
Why a course and not just a list of prompts
A copied prompt does not understand your case
Lists of «prompts that always work» work until the task changes. Understanding why an instruction works lets you adapt it to your clients, your tone and your documents.
Asking well is half the job; reviewing is the other half
A text that sounds good can still be wrong. You learn to read the answer critically and to make it clear in the team who reviews what before it is sent or published.
From individual habit to team practice
If everyone writes instructions their own way, results and quality vary. With shared templates and criteria, the team gains consistency and newcomers do not start from zero.
Examples from your sector and your role
An accountancy firm, a shop, a clinic and a school do not ask AI for the same things. The exercises start from each person's texts and tasks, including for people with no technical background.
How we work in the course
- 01
We start from real tasks
Before starting we collect the team's tasks where AI can help: repetitive ones, ones that are hard to start or ones that mean reviewing a lot of text.
- 02
We write, test and compare
Each person writes their brief, tests it and compares it with other versions. We see what changed in the result when adding context, an example or a format constraint.
- 03
We review as if it were leaving the company
We look for failures: invented figures, wrong tone, data that should not be there. We leave a checklist of your own for each type of task.
- 04
We leave templates and criteria
We close with a starter library of templates, a clear rule on data and an agreement on who maintains them, so the course does not stay in the room.
An honest note on «prompt engineering»
Today's assistants understand natural language well, so there are no magic formulas or secret words that change everything. What still makes the difference is the usual: a clear brief, the necessary context, an example or two and a serious review of the result.
That is why the course does not sell tricks. It teaches you to think through the brief, to iterate without wasting time and to know when AI is not the right tool, or when to stick to what can be checked.
Data, privacy and responsible use
Part of the course is knowing what not to paste into an AI tool and why: personal data, client information, contracts, internal figures. We look at each tool's options for controlling how data is used and how to set a simple guideline for the whole team.
Training the team in responsible use of AI helps meet the AI literacy obligation in the AI Act (art. 4). It is a help, not a substitute for your company's legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code to take this course?
No. It is a course for people in any area, including managers and teams with no technical background. You work in natural language with the tools you already use; there is no code to write.
Which tools do you work with: ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini?
The techniques apply to all of them. In practice we work with the tool or tools your team already uses and point out where results or features differ between them. If you need to go deeper on a specific one, we have dedicated courses.
Does prompt engineering still make sense now that models understand better?
Yes, but it has changed. It is no longer about formulas or tricks, but about explaining clearly what you need, giving context, showing examples and checking the result. The AI does not do that part for you, and it is what we teach.
What company data should we not paste into an AI tool?
As a general rule, no identifiable personal data, no confidential client information and no contracts or internal figures in tools without the right safeguards. It depends on each tool's plan and settings; in the course we define a simple guideline with you and cover how to anonymise a text before using it.
Is the course eligible for FUNDAE funding?
Yes. IAescola is a registered training provider (code 9900033425) and a FUNDAE organising entity, and we file the FUNDAE notifications and prepare the documentation so your company can claim the cost back, subject to available credit and applicable requirements.
Can I take the prompt engineering course on my own?
Yes. Besides training for teams, we are preparing open-group editions for people who come on their own, live online or in person in Catalonia, in Spanish or Catalan. Join the list for the next edition and we will write to you with dates and price before you confirm anything. FUNDAE funding is for companies training their staff, so it does not apply to individuals.
