AI Literacy for SMEs (AI Act Article 4 compliance)
The AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) requires, under Article 4, that all staff within an organisation deploying AI systems — including everyday tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot — understand what these tools do, what their limits are and what risks they entail. This is not a recommendation: it is an explicit obligation for any organisation using AI in its day-to-day operations.
Who is it for
All staff at SMEs that already use or are about to deploy AI. No prior technical knowledge required — designed for non-technical teams that need to meet the AI Act's legal obligation through a short, practical, cross-functional session.
Learning objectives
Understand what generative AI is and how tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot actually work
Identify biases, hallucinations and common limitations in AI outputs
Review AI outputs critically before using them in real work
Know the AI Act legal framework (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and the specific obligations applying to SMEs
Produce a baseline internal AI usage policy tailored to your organisation

Delivered in person across Catalonia (Banyeres del Penedès or at your office) or live online via video conference. Includes an AI usage policy template, a personal attendance certificate for each participant (valid as evidence of Article 4 compliance) and 30 days of post-training support to answer follow-up questions.

Yes. Article 4 of the AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) requires that all staff who use or deploy AI systems have an adequate level of AI literacy. This includes anyone using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot at work, even occasionally. It applies to all companies, including SMEs.

Yes. Each attendee receives a personal attendance certificate documenting completion of the AI literacy training under Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. This certificate, together with the AI usage policy template we leave you with, constitutes the baseline evidence an SME needs in the event of an inspection or audit.
